Hi there! Welcome to my personal page that I have personally created for you to have a better idea about who I am, what I am all about and most importantly how I can best help you.

Well, as you already know, my name is Mavis Nong and I am a full-time internet marketer, working in direct sales.

I moved to the UK some five years ago. I live in Bristol, south-west of London with my lovely husband of five fantastic years, Jolly and our 3 year old adorable daughter, Masego (blessings in English). I work my business from the comfort of my living room, around my daughter. My days of working long hours, reporting to a boss and meeting deadlines are over!

I am extremely passionate about what I do. I also love the fact that I can take my business with me wherever I travel to. Even if I choose not to, my business would still work itself. I am also able to do my business in my sleep! How so? Because it’s 90% automated!

Where do I come from?

I’m originally from the beautiful, sunny South Africa... born to the nicest parents and raised in a city called Polokwane, north of Johannesburg. I am the eldest sister to my two dear brothers. South Africa is located at the southern tip of the continent of Africa. The country has got it all: year-round sunshine, beautiful beaches, abundant wildlife, wonderful hiking trails, superb shopping malls and more.

There is a lot of great things happening in the country at the moment, however the highlight is the Football World Cup to be hosted by South Africa in 2010 – the first time the festival of football will be held on African soil! So, you can imagine the excitement.

The event will definitely open the eyes of the world to the fact that at the southern tip of Africa, lies a stable and sophisticated country offering both breathtaking natural beauty and lucrative investment opportunities. You definitely want to put ‘Visit to South Africa’ on your to-do-list.

So, why did I leave such a beautiful country?

 You see, I have never imagined myself living outside my country, not even in my wildest dreams. However, when Jolly (my boyfriend then), moved to the UK over 7 years ago, I started preparing myself for a possibility of joining him there. when we got married I knew that I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but wherever my husband was. I also knew that it would be a great opportunity for me to experience life outside my own country, meet new people, learn different cultures, grow as a person and so on.

How did my journey get started?

My desire for entrepreneurship stemmed from childhood. Ever since I was 5 years old, I had a drive to run my own business. When I was playing with my friends and cousins, I preferred playing a storekeeper, using my mum’s calculator for a cash-till. I was also inspired by my mum as she worked from home selling different things.

My entrepreneurial spirit was also evident when I chose my High School subjects (Economics, Business Economics and Accounting), which I continued to study at the University. I later graduated with a Bachelor of Administration degree.

I then worked for a large retail company in South Africa as a graduate trainee. I felt my personal and development goals were not adequately achieved. 3 years later, I joined the world’s second largest mining company as a Human Resources (HR) Practitioner.

I continued with post-graduate studies (part-time) and obtained high-level qualifications: Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in HR Development, Masters Diploma in HR Management as well as Management Development Programme. I also moved up the corporate ladder rapidly – a high flyer definitely. I thought I had a “dream” career.

When I got married, my career was at its peak, the company had great things in store for me. However, it was time for me to let go and start a new life in a new country.

 

New Country, New Life... New Career?

Jolly was very supportive, helping me with the transition process. I made new friends quickly and I soon felt at home. I wish I could say the same about my career.

I was confident that with my high-level qualifications and ten years work experience, I would land myself a suitable HR position. I was completely wrong. After months of many unsuccessful job applications, I was left devastated and frustrated. In the end, I took a basic office role, just to keep me going. I hated that job with a passion and being a housewife was not an option for me.

When our daughter was born, I knew I didn’t want to go back to my horrible job and I also had a desire to spend more time with her at home. During that time, I watched a lot of Property programmes and Property Ladder was the one that really inspired me and it was time for me to free my entrepreneurial spirit.

In no time, Jolly and I attended a Property Course which led to the formation of New Heights Property Solutions . We let our properties to professionals on a single-let or shared-let basis.

So, how did I end up in Network Marketing?

The property business seemed to be a perfect long-term investment strategy rather than a source of good monthly income for us. Also, with the recent housing slump, I needed to find another business opportunity. Little, did I know that one of my tenants would introduce me to a Network Marketing business.

I did everything my upline told me to do. I did as many presentations a day as I could, I chased my family and friends, I spent hours on the phone and on e-mail trying to convince people to join me or buy my products and so on. I got nowhere and I was left miserable and flat broke.

 A Breakthrough..... Finally!

When I failed with my Network Marketing business, I didn’t give up. I remembered Alexander Graham Bell who said: “When one door closes, another opens. But we often look so regretfully upon the closed door that we don’t see the one that has opened for us.” So true!

I turned to the internet and began searching for answers and solutions. I then discovered a revolutionary new marketing course called Magnetic Sponsoring. This totally shifted my thinking and changed my life.

I immediately turned my back on the traditional marketing methods and changed the way I was marketing my business. Today, I teach network entrepreneurs how to build their business online without prospecting, chasing family and friends, buying leads, cold calling, handing out flyers and trying to sell and convince people to join their business. I love assisting other struggling home business owners to achieve their potential and realize their dreams.

You see, when I was involved with my multi-level-marketing business, I knew that internet marketing was the way to go, but I didn’t know how to go about it. Things have really changed a LOT for me. About 15 months ago, I was struggling in my MLM business, slaving away for the tiny commissions... And now?... Now, I am on a fast track to financial freedom. I am now making more money per sale than I used to make in months in my previous MLM business! I am so excited that I can finally make a REAL income online. And I’m just getting started! I wake up every morning excited, knowing that I have the world in my palm, on the internet, to grow my business, learn new things, meet new people and work towards achieving my goals and dreams.
